I hail from Ōtākou, on the Otago Peninsula. I was born and bred on our whānau farm, raised on my marae, schooled in my village and home town. My happy place is hanging with my tāne, my kids, at home or next to the ocean, and ideally all of those things together.
I am easy to work with and have expertise in narrative writing, historical document research, intergenerational strategy and cultural workshops and te reo Māori.

I work in collaboration to create exceptional mahi. I am relational, that is who I am and how I operate. I will always work with hapū/iwi and the people on the ground.
As an extension of your team, I immerse myself in your vision and goals. I also bring a different, exciting and deep culturally informed approach to a reset for your team or organisation. I operate from an informed mātauranga base, and I am kind and open and I like to get stuff done.

I take an iterative approach in my mahi to ensure the final result aligns with your creative vision and reflects your unique identity.
The end result always delves in to the heart of your organisation, understanding your values, your history and your people. I work to align this suitably with tikanga, te reo and te ao Māori. Nothing will feel off or misaligned. The end result is exciting and new.
Case Studies
Narrative writing
Research and write narratives that are cultural and historical and focused on the whenua, people and business. I have written over 50 various narratives for organisations, businesses, schools, institutions. I write a narrative with input from people, connectors and iwi.
Intergenerational strategy
I have worked with many organisations and hapū and iwi to establish a framework of intergenerational focus and strategy. Values are one way to look at how an organisation operates and connect to people and place. A strategic vision and values are a manifestation of culture, history and behaviours and provide unity, focus and a framework for organisations.
Workshops and teaching
I am a primary, secondary and teritary educator. I have spent years teaching and lecturing in te reo Māori. I have taught Māori history at university and have studied. I have taught full immersion te reo Māori for many years. I have my Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Education, Māori studies and history. I love to workshop and take people on a journey of discovery. I am passionate about a combined learning journey for Māori and Pākehā. I am inspired by the intertwined history of all cultures and how we can all learn from that.
